Brief Description:  Joint Plate W-423 Work

Today I removed the W-423 joint plates from the L & R Leading Edge assymblies. After finishing the edges with a scotchbrite wheel on the drill press, I drilled all platenut rivet holes using the platenut as a guide. This worked quite well. I then deburred all holes, countersunk the platenut rivet holes, dimpled the platenut screw holes with a # 8 dimple die, and dimpled the holes on the side that will rivet to the Leading Edge assymbly with the 3/32nd dimple die. I then primed the joint plates. They are ready to rivet platenuts onto them.
