Brief Description: Rolled & Rivited Leading Edge Of Rudder
We finished up the rudder today. All we had to do to complete the rudder was roll the leading edges. We accomplished this successfully using a 3/4 inch black water pipe that was 5 feet long and duck tape per Van's plans. We used 2 pipe wrenches to get the torque needed to roll the skins. This process was fairly easy and all worked out well. We then match drilled the leading edge holes and pop riveted. We then mounted the counter weight per plans. Rudder complete!
