Here is Pete with the the diaphragm out of the jig. In pict 2 you see me with the part in the sander I made. Now it is obvious why I needed an open ended sander. After about 15 mins I had the part sanded right down to the 1" thickness I need. It worked great. I may have to remake the part as the strips I used were not wide enough to result in a flush surface all the way around. Now that might not be a structural thing, but I think I will build the next one and see if I've gotten any better at doing it.
