Brief Description: Left Main Spar - Solid Rivetting
"I started rivetting the wing root first with the Flush rivets. This went well and I only have to replace a few that went awry.
I then continued on with the AN470 rivets along the spar. I decided to change the approach I used last time instead of working on the root and then out towards the wing tip. Having discussed it with Simon who found a reference in the Sonerai plans, the concept was to randomly rivet som holes top and bottom say every foot and then reduce this by half and rivet this and then keep reducing the space between rivets till no gaps. The idea was that this technique reduces the chance of bending the spar or twist or warp etc. The results was pretty good with only a slight bend/bow about 1/4 of the right spar.
I have several universal rivets to pull out and redo. Was getting tired and need some time away from it to attacki t properly and maybe with some extra help to make them neat.
