Brief Description:  Right Main Spar - Spar tidy up and dimpling counte

"I disassembled and cleaned up the spars by deburring the holes and cleaned up all the shavings from the drilling process.

I then countersunk all the required flush holes on a spar doubler plate and also the top spar cap where required. I then used my c_Arm to dimple the thinner spar web that will sit above the countersunk spar plate. these items will then house the lfush rivet along the forward face of the right spar. when the left spar is built the rear face will hten also be flush so that when they are mated together they sit flush and smooth against each other with no protruding rivets or bolts on the touching faces. These sections fit through the fuselage and bolt together.

I have 1 more hole to drill now which goes through the wing attach block 2 feet in frmo the root of the spar I will have to reassemble the spar and bolt together and then line up the drill press to be able to get a good alignment so I do not have major wnadering problems with the drill. If I do get the travel I have more stock now to remake the piece as I received another delivery from Aircraft Spruce.

I followed up the next day by deburring everything. I then revisited the wing attach block and secured the angle and block to the spar with bolts. I decided to free drill the hole from a level spar position using the half inch spar material as my guide as it is predrilled. I did the first drill size and it was fine. I then upsized it to the next one and the bit snapped inside the block. After several attempts to free the drill bit I gave up and looked at another previous block attempt I made and decided to use it after I checked it withthe angle. It fit well so I have used this. i drilled this piece out no problems and I have a good hole now through the block. I disassembled the spar and did further work to clean it up by taking pen marks off all pieces ready for cleaning and degreasing.

I can now prime the right spar. It is too humid to do it today 99% plus and storms. sikkens recommends less than 70%. Maybe tomorrow or next
