"I disassembled te aileron and cleaned and prepped for priming the parts. Same proces as rudder.
I sprayed inside the skin and all parts 2 coats.
I decided to try the air rivet puller after doing the rudder by hand. I love this gun!! It is worth every cent and does a good job. i bought it in Hong Kong ( Reclamation St , Mong Kok) and it is made in Taiwan. It is great. I wanted to do the rudder by hand as it was my first part and wanted to slow myself down to not make mistakes.
After all the primed parts were dry I assembled the aileron drive horn lead balance first. It went together well.
I then inserted all the ribs and the balance, the hinge and cleacoed it up ready for rivetting. I then used the gun to rivet and it was quick and easy. There were a few hard rivets around the balance arms protruding from the control but the hand rivetter made it in there no problems. I used the bent rivet stem trick picked up form other builders sites. Easy.
2 controls complete today. More priming of the other controls and assembly to follow as there has been a backlog of these parts due to waiting for the primer paint goods.
