"I got back from San Fran and I decided to make do with the time while the family are in Australia. I finished up the left and right aileron hinges. I remade one hinge as there were a couple of holes not in the correct place. read the plans carefully!! I keep reminding myself. So they are now done and I just have to prep them for paint and drill fit the ribs into place but I need to find out the best way to do this, thinking about that one.
While in San Fran I sourced some 3M Scotchbrite 7447 pads, a box of 20. This should last a while. found them at City Paints downtown SFran. Cool. Cannot find the genuine ones here in HK. Long way to go for scotchbrite!
Here are the ailerons awaiting the ribs to be put in place. I have done the flaps now and will now continue with the rib placement and drilling. It is getting easier now it makes sense. Time to think makes a difference."
