today was spent by locating the bottom skin and positioning it on the frame. It fitted perfectly, how I dont know but a true indicattion that if you follow the plans these pre-cut and drilled pieces will go where they are meant to. After checking all the alighnment was good reference the fron bend for the leading large end of the skin I drill all the coles into the longerons and cross ties. Once these were done I had to drill for the splice plates on each side that are not pre-drilled due to their non precut pieces. This was somewhat fiddly but aided along by having the long drill pieces I picked up in the States at Sears.
After the holes were drilled I measured up the inspection paenl dimensions and drilled the holes for the screws and rivets. I also used the drill cut fly wheel to do the 3/4" radius for the corners. i foiound the inspection plate sheet that is pre-cut and pilot drilled. This needs to have fasteners to be attached. This can be done later.
I next have to move on to measuring and drilling the tail box assembly pieces that are already painted. Thats a job for next week after a hike Saturday.
