Today I continued with the fabrication of the parts for the Pitot attach assembly. I made the tube brackets, the tube clamps and the support brackets and the base plate for wing skin attachment. I prepared and primed the pieces. I attached 2 of the 4 brackets to front ribs 3 and 4 but need to get a smaller drill to drill ribs 1 and 2 as they are closely spaced. It would have been better to have completed this assembly prior to attaching the ribs to the spar. Next time!
I then unpacked the leading edge from its box and clecoed it to the lower spar cap. I then drilled all the lower rib holes to size 40. I now have to get someone to help me flip the wing over to be able to strap down the top side and clecoe to be able to drill the top holes in the ribs.
