Brief Description:  AW Inspection

We had a DAR from Anchorage come to Fairbanks for the AW Inspection. Mark Barker arrived late morning for the inspection. All the paperwork I had to do had been done ahead of time using the online AWC system. This included scanning in several required documents and applying for the AW certificate. Since this aircraft is an ELSA not an amatuer built, Mark had several questions on how much of the build of the plane was part of the ELSA quick build vs what I had done. There were no issues with this since there is no 51 percent rule for ELSA's. After inspecting the aircraft and having us push it out of the hangar and run the engine for a short time, Mark began to go thru his checklist and reviewing the required documents. By mid-afternoon Mark issued the AW Certificate and operating limitations. Since the weather is definitley winter here in Fairbanks we won't be begin Phase 1 flight testing until spring.

We do now have an aircraft not a project!
