I realized i had the pitot tube painted the wrong color, orange and it is attached to the wing in the narrow blue stripe so sanded it and refinished it.
I am using wing installation method #2 as detailed in 05H. I made the needed drill bushing from 4130 bar stock. The wing installation requires that the 'tee" fittings in the front carry thru tube be shortened and contured to fit inside the wing front spar tube. The manual recommends filing the tee down and checking the fit in the wing. This seems very shakey, trying to use a whole wing to size the tee tube. I measured the ID of the front spars and am building a ring gage the same diameter as this to file down the tee tube.
