Assembled lift struts. They need to be inspected for knick etc first since there were no problem areas to smooth out, I proceeded with assembly. The instruction manual implies that they should not be painted as they are silver anodized and they need to be inspected frequently.
Since they struts themselves are not painted I didn't paint the fittings that are installed in them that connect to the airframe and fuselage. All of these parts are machined from 6061 which is very corrosion resistant or stamped from stainless steel. These parts also need frequent inspection.
