I basically did the F22 and F28 bulkheads at the same time. Instead of trimming the foam exactly to shape and then fiberglassing the foam, I made the layups larger than required with the intention of then trimming to size and shape with a router. There are two advantages to this method. First, you don’t have to worry about the glass getting disturbed on the edge of the foam. Second, I believe that router trimming can be more accurate especially when cutting straight lines and squaring the bulkhead.
Image 1: There is setting fibreglass under that pile. I used my quarter inch sheet of aluminum to press the layup then piled heavy stuff on top. I knew those finance books would come in handy again.
