Brief Description:  Forward Seat Foam Prep and Back-Side Fiberglassing

I am now forming the foam (Last-a-Foam, 1/2" thick) onto the seat form. The first picture shows the original 2' x 4' x 1/2" (thick) sheet of foam. There are plenty of curves which the foam can not take without modification, so the next pictures show where the foam has been cut into small strips and hot-glued to the form.

Not shown is the next step: forming the foam a bit (ie: thinning certain areas near the edges, marking cut lines for later, etc, and the actual fiberglassing of the back side of the seat (which is up in these pictures). I used polyester resin for the seat for a couple of reasons: I was familiar with it from other projects, and it's pretty forgiving of lower temperature work areas; Most of the fiberglassing would be done in about 60 degree work areas.
