Brief Description:  Aligning the Rear Wheels

It was time to set the wheel allignment (toe-in) of the rear wheels. The manual had a rather convoluted method involving putting tape on the wheel struts and tires, rolling the plane forward and back, measuring the spread between the front and rear of tires, etc. I found some information from a Challenger building that showed a much simpler method, and that's what I used.

Here's the process. Level the fuselage (picture #1). Put a straight board across the front of both wheels and use a straight edge to determine the distance that the wheel is either toed in or out. Adjust this by turning the bottom landing gear tube until the front of the wheel is in by 1/8", then drill and secure the landing gear tube. Simple.
