The fuselage exterior was apparantly painted long before I bought it. Unfortunatly, it was not painted very well as there were runs and lots of missed areas. It appeared that the bottom of the fuselage did not have a primer coat, and possibly even used a different paint than the upper section. Probably because they didn't have a Fuselage Rotisserie. :)
So, I have started stripping the exterior paint. Lots and lots of very messy work. I certainly should have covered most everything in my garage before I stared as now everyone has a layer of white powder on it. Lucky for me I had moved the cars out before I started.
Also, near the top of the picture you can see a slot in the top of the fuselage. That's where the horns of the aileron bellcrank stuck out. This is the same aileron bellcrank that I removed due to poor mounting and mentioned in my previous log entry.
