Brief Description: Corvair College #19 Engine Run!
My engine was the third of the day to be run. This allowed me to paint my valve covers prior to the installation. We mounted the engine on WW's run stand and connected it to the stand battery, ground, exhaust, intake and installed the prop. WW gave a quick presentation on how to prime the oil system and I had to add RTV to the valve cover gaskets and close up the engine. WW demonstrated how to install the distributer and we rolled it outside for runup. It started right up and I was a very happy and proud. It ran smoothly for about 65min mainly at 1800 RPM and then a couple of min at ~700 (idle) RPM. We then rolled the stand back into the hangar and we removed it from the stand and I drained the oil prior to recrating.
