Today I purchased a Corvair engine from Paul Yenser of Kutztown, PA based on referral from Phil Maxson. Phil has a Corvair powered Zenith 601XLb. Paul showed me around the place and some of the many Corvairs he has collected over the years. At one time he owned a Corvair Service Center The Engine is an RH and in good overall condition. He pulled it out of a barn, where it was sitting in storage, with a tractor and placed it on a workbench. We had a little trouble rotating the crank a full 360 so a value may have been stuck although it did rotate. I then verified the GM engine case and head codes and we proceeded to remove several unwanted auto components.
