A little bit of a break was taken over the summer to complete my Multi-Engine and to make some decisions on the direction I will go with the Lancair.
I did not like the idea of mounting the Hydraulic Pump on the back side of the bulkhead. It is not very accessable and I wanted to try and make the maintenance as easy as possible. I knew that Christian Meier had put his on the front side of the bulkhead and I decided to contact him to see if he would change anything. I am glad he said he would do it the same again.
I built a mockup using cardboard. I should be able to use the cardboard pieces to create help me cut the pieces to make the real thing.
After I mount the Hydraulic Pump and first sections of Hydraulic Lines, I will make the adjustments to the Enclosure to make it as light as possible.
