Brief Description:  Tanks are Complete!!

I came home from work tonite and began to putz in the shop. One thing led to another and I ended up closing the tanks. I finished prepping the contact edges w/ scoth-brite pads and then cleaned with acetone. Everything went went smoothly until I began to rivet on the brackets. Van's shorted me about 15 closed end rivets, so I had to use other pop rivets to attach the last 3 brackets on the left tank. I sealed the ends with pro-seal. I will call Van's today to ask if this will work, or if they need to send me more of the correct rivets so I can drill out these and install the proper ones. I used just about every cleco I had to cleco the baffle in. Riveting was easily done with the pnuematic squeezer. The tube of pro-seal I ordered from Van's was almost enough to close both tanks. I ended up mixing a small amount left over from my quart to finish up. I also ran out of M.E.K & Acetone, so I have some more clean-up to do tomorrow. I'm soo glad to be done with the tanks!
