Brief Description:  Prep & Prime

Today I finished preping the latest batch of parts for priming. I have a big TV set in the shop, so I turned on the Sci-Fi channel and worked on each part with a Scotch-Brite pad.....After all parts were done, I cleaned them with acetone and layed them out on my covered work bench. I decided to use the AZKO epoxy on these part, so I had to mix the primer and let it sit for a half an hour. When it's cold outside, I spray the parts, then open the doors to the shop unitl it airs out, then I close the doors, crank up the kerosene heater, then repeat the priming on the other side of each part. I then open the doors again.....Of course, I always have on my respirator and saftely glasses! I think this is the last major batch of parts to be primed.......YAYE!!!!!! I will begin to assemble some of these tomorrow, but alot of the front deck and the cabin frame are not installed perminantly until later. This keeps the fuselage clear, while I do the wiring and install other interior components. Still need to order that finishing kit.....($$$)!
