Addendum to last nights entry. The welds that I removed, other than being not the prettiest in the world, were solid. The tube and support ends were joined and would not have come apart.
Have rewelded the supports. Welds are prettier this time. Still think the hardest part of welding the wing steel was welding on these ends. The flap hinge bearing supports were much easier with the 13/16 width than these tight fitting ends.
Wing steel is done except for strut attach and aileron cable pulley bracket that attaches where the cable comes out of the strut.
