Brief Description:  Aileron Support Frame - Bell Crank Support

I didn't notch the bell crank support for initial fit. That seemed like it would make it harder to get the small tube square. I have my drill press level and squared so I decided to drill the hole for the tube. After the hole was drilled I left just enough of the 3/4" tubing to hold the smaller tube and cut the rest away for the wrap arouind as shown in the plans. Worked very nicely and with almost no effort to keep things square on welding.

The second picture shows the tubing through the hole. It also shows what happens when you measure 3 times and cut once. Except you do it backwards and cut once, scratch head, and then measure it 3 times. Part fit perfectly... just 3/16" short.

When I welded the actual (usable) small tube to the 3/4" tube I left the small tube long and trimed it (as the sages in the goup have said to do). Made welding much easier... slow learner.

Very proud of picture 3. Nice weld and PERFECTLY perpendicular and exactly to plans. Can't wait to get to work on the fuselage!!!!!
