Brief Description:  Cowl Trimming

Started off with minor electrical cleanup. MGL said they could repair my Enigma display after I reversed polarity on the backup battery, so I removed it from the panel.

Next, I fabricated wiring harnesses for the landing / nav / strobe lights on each wing. I'll terminate these short harnesses in molex connectors; they only reach to the wing flap actuator access holes.

Next, ran safety wire along the route of my comm coax run in order to determine the length of coax I'd need to purchase (12').

Next, on to the cowl. Did initial positioning so that I could mark cut locations for the gear leg and breather/fuel vent tubes. Trimmed the cowl. Did the on-and-off with the cowl & my son for what seemed like forever trying to determine where to make the cuts to get it to fit correctly. Mostly just mod'd the gear leg hole; never did get the sides to line up how I'd want, so I'm calling it quits for the night before I do something else stupid.
