Ever since I fried the backup battery charger circuit in the Enigma display, and after receiving the repaired unit back from MGL, I had not re-installed it into the panel. Since I'm just about done with construction things, it is now to the point where I can rivet the panel into the glareshield. However, I don't want to do final riveting until after engine start. While the panel checked out electrically, without the engine running, I have no idea if the sensors will work correctly.
Tonight I re-installed the Enigma. Re-connected all the data lines (encoder, comm frequency info, RDAC) and main harness. Had to scratch the head a bit - I had forgotten what I did with the fuel level sender control box power feed! Finally found it tucked up under another harness. Clearly marked as well.
Installed crimp-on quick disconnects to the radio leads that will connect to the control stick PTT and freq swap buttons.
Spent some time re-familiarizing myself with it all as it has been a few months.
