Determined that the cause of my "short" was because the master switch was inadvertently left on. Since no battery is present, no problem, but it did have me wondering why all circuits were in continuity with ground.
Disconnected filter capacitor to determine if it was shorted - it wasn't.
Started stripping shielded wire for mag p-lead switch connections. Getting close!
