Brief Description:  Start Panel-to-Airframe Wiring

Started wiring the panel to the airframe tonight. Missed a few days - Monday night I had to get the Chapter newsletter out, and last night I had a visitor to check it out (Hi, Lloyd!).

Figured that I had enough slack to allow me to wire the backside of the panel with it resting on the glareshield. Clamped some spare felt pad to the glareshield (it wanted to slide off - not good for $5000 worth of avionics!). Sorted out wires to ensure that all were still tagged. Two somehow lost their tags, so thru deduction and use of a VOM, I was able to get the re-tagged.

I'm using knife connections for those cases where a spade connector is not used. As an example, the wire from the starter solenoid is soldered to the momentary pushbutton switch. So, I soldered a pigtail to the switch, and crimped a knife disconnect on the end. Used another knife disconnect on the wire coming from the starter and sealed it with heat-shrink. In the future, if I have to remove the panel, at least I won't have to be cutting wires.
