Brief Description:  Adjust Rudder Pedal

Long time no touch the project. Left town last weekend to attend #2 son's graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott AZ. Beautiful cooler weather. After graduation, we went to Grand Canyon. No picture could ever capture the awesomeness of it.

Upon my return on Tuesday, had a Chapter meeting. Wednesday PM had some chores plus I wanted to participate in an EAA Webinar on the Liability of Selling Your Homebuilt (not that I intend to sell...).

So it's been a full week.

After rigging the rudder cables as per plans, I was not satisfied with the respective travel of the rudder pedals, right vs left. So, tonight I re-blocked the rudder in the centered position and determined that I needed to make a new rudder cable attach link. For grins, I drilled a test hole in the existing link where measurements said would create a better alignment. Quickly put back into position, and voila, the rudder pedal travel was perfect and the pedals matched perfectly when the rudder was centered.

Tomorrow I will make a new link, since the holes are a bit too close for comfort - don't want that web of material tearing just when I need it the most!
