Brief Description:  SubAssembly Construction

Used the hole saw and drilled the center elevator control rod clearance notch in the angle stock that forms the support for the seat bottom and seat belt attach points. Drilling took quite a bit. Evidently my drill press is getting weak, because it would frequently slow down and stop when any pressure was applied during the cutting action. Just a little bit more.....

Next, measured, pilot drilled, updrilled, deburred, and riveted SNX-F10-11 clips to SNX-F10-10 left and right channels to make subassemblies SNX-F10-09 L/R.

Spent quite a bit of time positioning the seat attach hinge to the angle piece. The loops of the hinge are supposed to overhang the front edge of the angle by 1/2 their width. I've had problems before getting hinges to stay in alignment, which often created binding when trying to insert the hinges. I wanted to get it right. Took lots of measurements, probably more than needed, but I got the pilot holes drilled.
