Brief Description:  Major Assy Up-Drill / Deburr

Not really anything worth photographing.

Finished dimpling the aft tunnel zee structure. Countersank the aft wing attach angles to fit the tunnel zee.

Dimpled the upper 4 holes of the fwd zee to accomodate the clips that attach it to the fuselage.

Countersank the forward wing attach angles. This was a bit challenging, as these are riveted to the forward fuselage already, as opposed to the aft angles that will be riveted later. Had to drill-out a rivet on each side to allow room for the countersinking head. Naturally, had to remove the head from the micro-stop cage. Dimpled the fwd tunnel zee edges to match the wing attach angles.

Up-drilled the upper fuselage splice plates to 3/16". Had already done the side holes; the holes drilled today are located on the top portion of the fuselage longerons. The screws that fit in these holes must be countersunk into the longeron to let the canopy close on this surface. Was going to countersink today (remember - the fuse is still upside down), but decided that I'll wait until the fuselage is right-side up to allow a decent shot of smooth holes.

Deburred all other edges of the fwd / aft tunnel zees. Deburred other minor parts. Deburred firewall mounting surfaces, upper / lower crossties, etc.

Disassembled all remaining parts; separated the fwd fuse sides from the aft fuse assy to allow deburr and cleanup.

Deburred the left fwd fuse assy.
