Cut 4 lengths of phenolic to 2.25" length. It already comes from Wick's in the correct 1" x .75" dimensions. Clamped together and drilled pilot holes for the AN3-21A clamping hardware.
Sequentially up-drilled to 3/16" to accept the hardware. Tight fight, so I reamed it out, then used a #12 bit to open up just a little bit more.
Bad storms in the area, so build time was allocated to moving some cars to the barn, putting the fuse on the bench to allow the other car to park in the garage, etc. Then, there was the Mythbusters episode where they worked with the Blue Angels to see if a 200' AGL sonic boom would break glass. Good episode, but again, it took time away from the build.
