Brief Description: More riveting; brake cable; seat belts
Riveted what I could (ran out of rivets) on the aft spar tunnel. Riveted most of the rivets on the vertical wing attach angles, all of the gussets and reinforcements aft of the spars, and the lower fuselage skin to the spar tunnel.
Riveted the right side lower flush rivets (8) holding the aft spar tunnel to the aft attach angle. Still waiting on CCC-46 rivets as noted on Saturday to go thru the additional gusset on the aft side.
Drilled-out rivets on the side and bottom of the spar tunnel (open holes in pic below) that were interfering with rivet gun access to the lower outermost rivet. Not happy with the rivet pull in that hole; will ask some questions of Sonex and the forums to see if anyone has a trick for getting it done.
Ran the brake cable thru the spacer block, firewall grommets, and around the brake handle pulley. Dug out the cable housing and cleaned-up the ends to allow cable insertion. Still have to cut to length (different left and right) and attach to the gear legs with cable-ties.
Found the AN5 hardware for the seat belt attach bolts; found the bolts as well. The bolt for the center seatbelt attach point as called-out in the kit is correct, but the lowered seat option that I implemented requires a longer bolt. I'll run over to Avery Tools tomorrow to hopefully find one.
