Wow. Life has really gotten in the way. But for good reason. I haven't touched the plane since the 19th. Last week, there were 3 Rangers games we attended, there was an EAA Chapter board meeting, and ...... I RETIRED. 29 years with Lockheed Martin. First time since age 14 I have not had a job. A bit weird, but so far so good. There was lots of party prep, folks stopping over, parties, dinners, etc. that all got in the way, but like I said, it was worth it.
Tonight I spent fitting the new machined angle components left and right aft wing attach angles. This was mostly brain power and figuring out how to fit it all together, but it finally came together. The left side is just about done; right side is up-drilled, but not fitted to the aft spar tunnel or the gusset yet.
Also spent time smoothing out a wrinkle in the spar tunnel due to the initial wing fit slipping and bending things a bit.
