Brief Description:  Fitting Left Lower Aft Skin

In order to reclaim some 3/32 cleco's, I up-drilled the upper aft left wing skin to #30. This required the initial fitting of the root doubler / wing walk section, which is not riveted until the wing is rigged to the fuselage.

Had one difficulty. This didn't happen on initial drilling to #40, but on the up-drilling, the drill bit interfered with the aileron bellcrank vertical stiffener such that it cut a notch into it. I'm thinking that when I deburr everything that I can just remove the stress risers and continue. After all, this is almost the same as the leading edge nose of the ribs (having a notch), but will run it by my tech counsellor and/or Kerry at Sonex.

Left the aft spar and main spar initial holes at 3/32, since the aft spar still has to have the flap hinge fitted to it, and the main spar still has to have the leading edge skin fitted.

Flipped the wing over on the bench. Verified that it was still square, then removed any wing twist with shims and wood blocks. Spent quite a bit of time ensuring that the lower aft skin homes matched up exactly with the upper aft skin, in order to ensure the LE skin goes on squarely.

Pilot drilled the skin to the aft spar to ensure a straight edge, then drilled to all ribs. Have not yet drilled the main spar.
