Brief Description:  Final Tail Trimming

Finished the tail trimming today. Phew. Not bad, just tedious and time-consuming with the off-and-on again and again and again to get the fit just right.

Did some more grinding on the control horn of the elevator because it was rubbing on the backside of the aft spar of the vertical stab.

Once that was clearing sufficiently, I noticed there was some additional interference with the vertical stabilizer skins, so trimmed some more there. Picture 1 below shows the vertical stabilizer as it was built almost 2 years ago. Picture 3 shows the as-trimmed configuration.

Once the vertical was done, I had noticed that the down elevator movement was also obstructed where the control horn bellcrank was hitting the aft edge of the shear web angle. Had to grind both the control horn and the shear web angle to allow full down elevator.

Removed everything; deburred and touched up control horn paint.
