Well, the rivets with the long stems (mandrels) came out - all 25 of 'em. I decided to do it correct. Turns out it was the riveter's fault. The pull length had gone out of adjustment AND it was low on oil. Seems to have gone thru oil on the fast side of things. I topped it up when new, and all that was done thus far was the vertical stab / rudder, and the control horn and horiz stab spars.
After fixing the rear spar, fitted all of the horiz stab ribs. Positioned correctly, marked centerlines, and drilled / cleco'd into position. Had to use the angle drill on the center-most ribs due to odd angles. Measured it up, and it's within 1/64th of where it should be. Not bad.
