Brief Description:  Finish drilling elevator hinge; mount tips

Continued drilling the elevator hinge; battery died late yesterday so a fresh charge completed the job. Finished up-drilling the 3/32" pilot holes to #30 (1/8"). Where clecos were removed, up-drilled those holes to #20 (5/32"), the final size. Removed remaining #30 clecos and updrilled all hinge holes. Next up after the tips will be to open-up the skin, debur everything that's been drilled over the last few days, and rivet. The hinge itself will not be riveted until fitment of the elevator.

Trimmed both L & R plastic stabilizer tips; just plastic, no fiberglass, so a bit easier to manipulate and trim. Installed right tip into position and drilled thru the stabilizer skin holes to allow clecos to hold the tip. Ensured that the plastic tip as well as the aluminum tail tip were square with the stabilizer body to allow accurate fitment of the elevator. Marked holes on the plastic 10mm from the edge and placed rivet location marks every 35mm. Plans called for a 40mm spacing, but the existing holes in the skin were 35, so went with that. Ensured the tip rib was square to the stabilizer and accurately co-located inside the plastic tip, and drilled #30 holes and cleco'd. Flipped the stabilizer over to do the bottom side. After completion of the right side, flipped the stabilizer end-to-end to allow access to the left side. Accomplished preliminary fit of the upper side of the left tip. Still have to provide accurate alignment of the tip rib.
