Brief Description: Finish L-angle reinforcements, drill seat base
Ensured fwd sliding seat base (SSO-1, right side) was plumb, and fabricated L-angle to hold in place. Outboard L-angles were pre-fabricated but not drilled where they attach to SSO-1, so removed them and marked centerlines for rivets. Re-cleco'd to fuse side and back-drilled into SSO-1.
Spent some time figuring out where to place the sliding seat mechanisms. Dug out the parts and re-mesured. Fortunately, they were shorter than I originally thought, so there would be plenty of room on the top flanges of SSO-1 and SSO-2 to mount the nutplates to hold the slider mechanism in place.
Marked centerlines on the seat supports and the seat base. Marked locations where sliders would go, then spaced out the rivet pitch (40). Drilled two holes on the line both front and rear and ensured they would line up with SSO-1&2. They did.
Note that the seat bases are manufactured assuming no sliders, so the centerline of rivets will not be used in the sliding seat option installation.
