Wrapped up several small areas to basically complete the left aft fuselage for this point in time. Other pieces will be added once the "box" of the aft fuselage is complete.
I deburred/delabelled the wing mounting tab to the upper crossmember. The crossmember has 3 pieces to provide structural rigidity. There are 3 AN3-5A bolts on each side to provide additional strength. The manual sequence says to rivet these togetyer, THEN add the wing mount tabs. This would require getting a wrench inside the box structure of the member. I bolted the parts together THEN assembled and cleco'd the parts together. Haven't riveted yet just in case.
I also noticed yesterday that the front support channels that go on the very front of the fuselage had a row of rivet holes. Why, I had no idea but I know another channel dovetailed behind the front channel to form a box structure. I looked ahead a few pages in the plans and saw a 1/8" L-angle gets added there as a doubler for additional stiffness, so I drilled the pilot holes, up-drilled to #30 then #20, and riveted.
Finally, I riveted all of the L-angle stiffeners along the fuselage side skin.
