Brief Description:  Setting wing dihedral

No pics.

Tedious, frustrating day.

I had previously made wooden wing stands for this purpose. Turns out they were too tall. So I made ONE shorter one, for a total of 3 stands. I then put that under the wing, and cut one of the remaining stands and clamped it a few inches shorter.

The plans say to use a string to set the dihedral. I could not get the sides even. The cabin frame is level, the wingtips are the same height, but the left wing has 10mm more space under the string than the right wing.

Called Zenith. Roger said to use a digital protractor to set them the same; don't worry about other mesaurements as long as the cabin frame is level. They're supposed to be 1.4 degrees. I had to download a digital protractor app. One side was boucing between 1.3 and 1.4; the left side was 2.1-2.2 deg. So I have some more adjustments. I ran out of time so could not finish today.
