Brief Description: Trying to figure out pump/gascolator locations
What a frustrating time I'm having with trying to figure out placement for the fuel pump and the gascolator. This would not be a problem if I did not have to have a check-valve inline with the fuel flow; I'd just run the pump on one side of the gascolator and be done with it.
Factory says no check valve is needed, but some builders seem to think it helps just in case the pump frags and metal blocks the outlet port.
After trying various configurations with curved -6AN pieces, I think I've got it as shown in the pc below. Oh yeah - one of the main things is that the fuel lines have to run into this area while avoiding the elevator control just to the right, plus the rudder cables cross right over the point where the pump resides and the fuel lines rise up to the fuel selector valve.
