Brief Description:  More strut work

The left strut was done WRT the fit and fitting placement in the strut. It just had to be removed from the plane and the holes marked on Friday drilled thru and up-sized to the final 1/4" size. Did that, and torqued the AN4 bolts to spec, about 72 inch lbs.

I then primed and painted one side of the struts. The primer dried very quickly; the paint, not so quick. Other than that, the left strut is ready to install and torque.

A bit of a mess up was next. I had also painted the ends of the right strut. I figured that if I left the middle unpainted, I could still handle it around a bit. However, I needed to pilot-drill the right upper end so I can measure *it* and mark the upper fitting. This attempt ruined my xtra fine point Sharpie pen, so I marked as best that I could, and drilled the pilot holes. Re-painted the drilled end to clean it up, then painted one side of the strut so I could put it on sawhorses and leave to dry.
