It was a nice day so I decided to paint the bottom of the right wing. I chose the bottom because it was the dirtiest side due to its placement in the wing rack.
Carried outside and used solvent to remove the mill marks from the bare metal. I then washed it with Dawn and a red scotchbrite pad.
I let it dry, then shot the red final color on it. Kinda messed up; was running low on paint. After it was drying, my wife said I missed a few spots; sure enough, I did. Argh.
Got the gun back out and got the missed areas. However, the paint doesn't do well when you try to re-paint slightly wet areas. Oh well; at least it's protected.
