Brief Description: Setting up stripper / crimping comm ant
I had previously purchased an RG cable stripper, since I'm now at the start of my wiring / crimping activities. Going in, I knew it had to be adjusted. I also purchased some RG400 cable yesterday, so I decided to get things set up.
I had to research a bit to find out the cut lines based on the cable and connector. Then there was the setting-up of the cutter, which requires tweezers to move the blades and springs. Made a few test cuts; some I could rework just with deeper blade settings, and then the others I had to space the blades apart a bit.
Finally got a decent cut that worked well with my Amphenol BNC connectors, so I crimped my first one in place. Now I can rivet-up the upper fuselage skin!
