Removed some rivits holding the upper fuse skin in place during the paint process so I could open 'er up to mount the ELT antenna.
Although I previously picked the spot for the ELT antenna hole in upper fuse, and cut/installed a doubler, I felt there could still be more rigidity, so I cut another piece of .032 stock and drilled a 1/2" mounting hole in it. Installed the antenna and securely fastened the mount.
Re-ran the RG58 antenna cable up to the spot where I'll mount the ELT box near the lower fuse access cover. Cut a section of doubler plate for the ELT tray mounting spot.
Removed masking tape from the un-riveted holes in the fuselage that I placed prior to painting.
