Ya think this is going to take no time at all, but due to the volume of rivets & cleco's, this just takes time.
Clamped everything up in order to rivet the vertical fin spar. This meant the hinge & attach bracket sub-assembly as well as the side spar doublers for the portion that attaches to the fuselage.
Riveted all that together; then cleco'd the center and tip rib in place and riveted those. Attached the fuselage mounting tabs with cleco's - they have to be mated to the fuselage before riveting, which happens 'WAY down the road.
Next, I cleco'd the edge of the fin skin to the spar with the other edge hanging off the bench. Gently folded-over the skin and cleco'd the skin to the ribs. Placed some boards in place to keep the cleco's off the bench and folded-over the other side of the skin; cleco'd in position, then cleco'd the ribs to the skin.
Riveted the skin to the assembly, and that completes the vertical fin.
NOTE: the next log entry happened today; I'm only allowed to enter 3 photos per entry, so I created a second entry for additional pics.
