Brief Description: More fitting on cowling for WW spinner
Reinstalled original spinner from Whirlwind Aviation after being unhappy with the modifed spinner they sent to try to alleviate cowling to backplate interference. Attached upper and lower cowl and carefully marked where inner nose is binding on backplate of spinnter. Radius marked on cowl and cut 3/16 with dremel. Filed and sanded smooth. Refit cowl and made additional adjustments due to non uniform thickness of backplate layup. Cowl now fits without interference. Going to rest run soon to determine no binding from vibration.
Removed left wingtip after discovering aileron trim wire was pinching at full deflection. Wrapped wire in tubing and safetied to end rib of flap and adjusted adel clamp on wing end rib for better clearance.
Got new 2x4 sheet of .025 from spruce and did initial cut of new interior side panels to hide wiring run. Decide to extend panels all the way to the floor to hide rudder cable tube.
Stayed in Boone since we worked past midnight and will be back Sunday.
