Brief Description: wing spar nuts/bolts to 80 foot pounds
July 8th 2012
Spent some time completing the torqueing the large wing spar nuts/bolts to 80 foot pounds. Test fitting the Wing Tips and connecting up the Landing Lights, Nav Lights, and Strobe Lights. Also I rerouted the Fuel Sensor +5volt wire so that the #18 awg wire connects to the resistive sensor correctly. And continued working on the Spinner. Page 47-03 Step 02) I marked the locations for the six screws that are to be used to secure the S-601-1 Spinner to the S-603 Spinner Front Plate. Then I marked the locations for the 14 screws that are used to secure the Spinner to the Spinner Back Plate. Locate all screws a equal distance apart. Step 03) Then I clamped the S-601-1 Spinner in place by at the bottom Spinner Back Plate flange and drilled with a #30 drill bit all the screw holes and clecoed as I went. Step 04) Trimmed the excess of the S-601-1 Spinner that extended just beyond the aluminum Spinner Back Plate Assembly. Step 05) Created a template and then transfer to a AS3-063 aluminum sheet to make two S-1001 Gap Fillers and two S-1002 Backing Plates to fit as shown in figure 2.
