Today the Final Kit arrived directly to my house via DB Schenker Freight. Weight was exactly 391 lbs and freight cost was 390.52 or 1 dollar per pound from Portland, Oregon. The price was much better than AB Freight line. After taking the kit inventory I found no items were missing (actually for 14.5K you get more parts than I was expecting, aircraft, aerospace parts are very expensive), so now it’s on to building the gull wing doors this weekend. I have read from other builders that I should budget about 100 hours per door so it looks like the rest of the summer will be consumed by chapter 45, Door Building.
