Brief Description:  The Infinity Aerospace grips installation

May 22, 2010;

The Infinity Aerospace grips finally arrived and I have installed them on the X-10 joy stick. Actually they were quite easy to install and only required slotting and drilling the top of the joy stick in order to mount the grips,
The grips have six actuators (buttons) but I am only using four at this time. 1) The “China Man Hat” for elevator and aileron trim, 2) Push to Talk for the radio transceiver, 3) the flaps, and 4) the electric boot fuel pump for taking off and landing.
The green PC board is a set of relays that acts as a buffer for the higher amperage loads, such as the flaps and electric fuel pump. This way high current won’t be running through the grip and the wires can be smaller in size, 22 and 20 awg. This is a standard way of handling higher amps by means of a relay “buffer” board. The grips resemble a F-15 fighter jet grip

Time about 3 hours for both grips and sticks
